An elevated view showing the stable block on the left and the old 'Outwards and Tranship shed' on the right

An elevated view showing the stable block on the left and the old 'Outwards and Tranship shed' on the right. The photograph was thought to have been taken in 1927 and is interesting because it highlights a number of features. On the left behind the stables it would appear that the boundary wall with Pitford Street was an independent structure and not just the rear wall of the stable block. Each stable was well ventilated with a louvered air vents being placed above each stable. The door to each stable is fitted with a short inclined canopy offering better protection than the entrances to the Outwards and Tranship shed seen on the right.
