GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Hockley and Duddeston: gwrhd692b
This close up of image 'gwrhd692' shows that the main type
of wagon used for traffic handled by the GWR at Hockley was the box van and if
not available, an open wagon protected from the elements by a sheet. It was not
unknown that box vans had to have their loads protected internally due to
leaking roofs. The wagons are standing alongside the Outwards and Tranship
shed.
