Looking north-eastwards in the early 1960s as Brewery lorry policeman on a horse enters Icknield street from Pitsford Street. The goods yard and station were built over the top of Icknield Street which was over 300 feet long. This tunnel was a major road providing access to the streets beyond including Park Road, which provided access to the Round yard, and further on to Lodge Road.
