GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

This view shows the northern edge of the goods yard with All Saints Street' parapet wall on the extreme right. The new Invoicing office, complete with a glass roof, is seen elevated above the rail access to the canal basin. The entrance to the canal basin is identified by the box van, which stands at right angle to the other wagons, and ran under All Saints Street. Initially the GWR employed hydraulic capstans, later electric, to propel traffic through the tunnel. 2nd November 1939
