GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line

Henley in Arden - New Station: gwrha467

Looking towards Birmingham with the short spur to the goods yard on the old branch line in the distance. The importance of Henley in Arden to the GWR can be judged by the fact that this station was much grander and had three platforms compared to others on the North Warwickshire line. The up line had in fact two platforms readily to hand as the up platform was an island, although as can be seen, access to the line on the right was available to traffic from the down line too via the crossovers seen in the photograph.
