GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line

Henley in Arden - New Station: gwrha467

Looking towards Birmingham with the short spur connection to the original station and the former branch line in the distance. The importance of Henley in Arden to the GWR can be judged by the fact that this station was much grander and had three platforms compared to others on the North Warwickshire line. The up line had in fact two platforms readily to hand as the up platform was an island, although the line on the left was terminated so effectively it was a bay platform. The line to its left was a release road allowing locomotives to run around the train. The platform was used by services from Moor Street station terminating at Henley-in-Arden.
