GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Looking towards Leamington Spa showing the staggered platforms on the GWR station with the SMJ station on the left. The GWR station was originally was built with both platforms on the Banbury side of the level crossing, the same as the SMJ station, congestion in the exchange yard forcing the move. To the left of the down GWR main line is the siding which subsequently provided access to the cattle pen and exchange sidings with the SMJ, later the LMS railway.
