British Railways 2-6-4T 4MT No 80072 is seen coming to a stop as it finishes banking the freight train from Stratford upon Avon in early 1965. The trailing crossover, provided to allow access to the goods yard, will allow No 80072 to run back bunker first to Stratford upon Avon ready to assist the next heavy freight train. Built by Brighton works in November 1953, No 80072 was to remain in service until July 1965 when it was withdrawn from 6D Shrewsbury shed to be eventually preserved by the Llangollen Railway.
