Close up of image 'gwr2870' showing the forecourt outside the station which was accessed by a driveway off Rumbush Lane. Named Station Drive the driveway also led to the goods yard and also, adjacent to Rumbush Lane, to seven railway houses built by the GWR for its employees. In addition to the seven terraced houses, the station master's detached house was sited opposite to the station on the left just out of sight.
