In this close up of image 'gwrdt451' we can see the platforms were very well lit through the number of lamp posts provided and that the platform buildings were different to each other. On the up (right) platform there are three doorways whilst on the down platform there is just the one doorway.

It is thought from examining this and the other photographs that the up platform building accommodated a booking office, waiting room and a ladies and a gentlemens toilet, although only the latter was sign posted. Access to the station was via a forecourt in front of the up platform's building. On the down platform the structure only has one door and was a quarter of the length of the up platform building. This building accommodated just a waiting room.
