GWR Route: Alcester to Hatton Junction

Taken at the same time as gwrc910, this official photograph shows the new down platform waiting room with ramp leading up to the new reinforced concrete footbridge. Identical to the up platform building, the platform waiting rooms also incorporated toilet facilities. All the buildings, pathways and the platforms were illuminated by electric lighting.

Between the tracks can be seen the common crossing section of the recently removed switch point, while in the four foot way of the down track are the other removed running and guard rails. Under the bridge what appears to be a Great Western brake van waits in the new goods siding.
