View of the exterior of the 1930s road level-main station buildings

Exterior of the 1930s road level-main station buildings. The building on the left contained the booking office and hall, while the one on the right contained parcels office and bicycle storage. Electric lighting was provided and mains water replaced the well water supply.

Four new buildings where constructed all in the same style – Two at road-level and one on each platform. They all had red brick and cement rendered walls and a grey slate roof. The GWR monogram took pride of place over the entrance canopy. C1950.
