Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Hall class No 5959 'Mawley Hall' is seen standing at Platform 5 whilst at the head of a down semi-fast express service circa 1952. Built at Swindon works in January 1936 it was first allocated to Reading shed where it re-allocated in August 1950. In March 1959 it was allocated to Exeter shed before being allocated to Tyseley shed from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 to be scrapped at J Cashmore's of Great Bridge.
