Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Star class No 4056 'Princess Margaret' is seen standing at the South end of Platform 7 whilst her driver attends to oiling her outside cylinders on 12th August 1952. Built at Swindon works to Lot 199 in July 1914 No 4056 was the last of the Star class in service when in October 1957 she was withdrawn from Landore shed in Swansea for scrapping at Swindon works.
