Bearley Junction: gwrbj786

The Bearley East Junction Signalman receives another single line staff (see 'gwrbj776'). This time the engine is a 51xx 2-6-2T prairie tank with a Leamington – Stratford local. These 51xx class 2-6-2 engines were a common sight on Birmingham Suburban trains. By the mid 1930s there were six of these engines allocated to Leamington Shed, four to Stratford Shed and eighteen to Tyseley. C1939
