GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Bordesley Green Station: gwrbg670
Looking towards Birmingham and Moor Street with the spur to
the unfinished viaduct built to connect the Birmingham and Oxford Railway with
the LNWR on the left. The cattle dock that existed at Bordesley can be seen on
the right built to make use of the otherwise wasted space provided by the
approach viaduct. Next to the signal box on the right is a buffer stop against
the wall for the catch points. It is doubtful that the buffers would stop
anything other than a lightly loaded van at low speeds.
