Close up of image 'gwrb442' showing the goods shed and a rake of five open mineral wagons standing in front of the cattle dock. The entrance to the shed was originally built to accommodate broad gauge wagons although whether this actually occured is not known. The entrance could be secured by a pair of doors, one of which is fully opened being resting against the goods shed's gable wall. The other door is also open too but only to about 95-100 degrees to the building so that it is end on to the camera. Both doors did not provide full security as their height was only equal to the height of the vertical wall, the archway being unprotected. The sloping rails next to the entrance indicate that this might also be the location where livestock were loaded on to cattle wagons. The presence of the coal bags indicates that the mineral wagons, on a siding adjacent to the goods shed's line, were for the use of coal merchants. Two of which appear to be owned by a merchant named 'Stevens', of the other three two are also P.O. (Private Owners) whilst the third is an LMS wagon.
