GWR Route: Hatton to Bearley and Alcester Branch

Looking towards Bearley Junction and the North Warwickshire line in the late 1950s. The station looks more 'tired' than in earlier views. The station sign now only declares 'Bearley' the references to Great Alne and Alcester no longer required after their closure.

The lighting has been changed from oil to electricity and the platform edges are painted white, a safety feature introduced during the second world war. The goods facilities are evidently still in use as there is a van in the sidings and several steel mineral wagons on the line to the goods shed that lay adjacent to the right hand platform.
