GWR Route: Hatton to Bearley and Alcester Branch

The goods yard viewed from the end of the station ramp looking towards Bearley. The photograph was taken in 1949, two years after regular freight traffic on the Alcester Branch had ceased. The goods loop rejoins the main line adjacent to the gangers hut in the distance.

Overgrown but just visible on the left in front of the trees is the back mileage siding with a loading gauge. This mileage siding was an addition to the pre war layout, when the station was reopened in 1922.
