Close up of image 'gwrga14' showing Great Alne station. Note the new agricultural machine for sowing seed and the second corrugated iron "goods shed" of a similar design to the passenger waiting room at Aston Cantlow. The first goods shed was removed when the line was closed in WW1. The platform was lit by oil lamps on standard GWR cast iron lamp posts which replaced the original wooden posts circa 1905.
