GWR Route: Stratford Upon Avon to Honeybourne
Evesham Road Crossing Halte: gwr_everd928
This close up of image 'gwr_everd928' shows the original
1891 box with three Great Western members of staff posed for the camera. It is
not thought the Halte was manned so the three members of staff could be the
signalmen from the three shifts required to operate the signalbox on a
twenty-four hour basis. The signalbox appears to have two birdcages suspended
on either side of the platform at the top of the steps. The sign on the front
of the signalbox appears to state 'Evesham Road Crossing SB'.
