Ex-LNER 2-6-2 class V2 No 60859 is seen two years later than shown previously in image 'gcrcs33'. As it is less than three months since nationalisation the locomotive is still attired in post-war LNER livery and carrying its LNER running number 4830. March 1948

Built by Darlington Works in December 1931 it was given the BR running number 60859 before its withdrawal from Gateshead shed in September 1965 before being scrapped in December of the same year at Ellis Metals Ltd of Swalwell, Derwenthaugh.
