Pebworth Halt

GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line

Pebworth Halt was built just before the Second World War being opened on 6th September 1937 and was long lasting operational surving to 3 January 1966. It was the second station in the near vincinity as 'Broad Marston Halt' had existed for a brief time from 17th October 1904 to 14th July 1916.

According to Vic Mitchell and Keith Smith in their excellent book 'Stratford upon Avon to Cheltenham' the Halt was located approximatley 350 yards north of Pebworth Halt. The type of halt is unknown but they report that the platforms were low indicating the possibility that they were of brick construction. No known photographs exist of the early station.
