Building the last Main Line Railway

View of Willoughby Viaduct - Bridge 471 - which lay close to the site of Braunston & Willoughby station. The 13 arch viaduct and parapets walls appear to be complete, but the embankment on either site has yet to be finished. It was built as part of the Rugby to Woodford contract, constructed by Thomas Oliver & Son between 1894 and 1897.
