LNER 4-6-0 class B17 /4 No 2862 'Manchester United' is seen working hard at the head of a down express circa 1946. Built at Darlington in January 1937 it acquired the BR running number 61662 before its withdrawal from Stratford shed in December 1959, the same month it was scrapped at Doncaster Plant.
