Whitlocks End Halt: gwrwe1359

Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Hall class No 4905 'Barton Hall' is seen passing through Whitlock End Halt at the head of an up Class D express freight service to Birmingham on 8th July 1962. Built at Swindon works in December 1928 No 4905 was first allocated to Truro shed and remained in service until November 1963 when it was withdrawn from Oxford shed, first to be stored at Didcot until April 1964 before being scrapped in June 1964 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
