GWR 4-4-0 No 3253 'Boscawen', a curved outside-framed Duke class locomotive, is seen simmering in steam waiting for its next trip in June 1937. Built at Swindon works in July 1895 No 3253 remained in service until January 1939 when it was withdrawn from Welshpool shed to be scrapped by Swindon works.
