The Motorcycle manufacturers of Tyseley frequently sent
their products as Parcels traffic and in 1924 due to the quantity of this
traffic, an electric lift was constructed adjacent to the passenger entrance to
help transfer motorcycles to the platforms (see 'gwrt1348'). The table above is from a Great
Western Railway Parcels Rates Book issued in 1928 and indicates the
preferential Parcels Rates available for various sizes of motorcycles and other
articles.
In 1928 the following passenger fares were applicable to
