GWR Route: Stratford Upon Avon to Hatton

Another view of Stratford on Avon's island platform's showing the general waiting room as seen from the down platform. The windows follow the same style as seen employed for the Refreshment Room but without leaded and ornate glazing. The roof on the Refreshment Room and General Waiting Room was flat as the platform canopy was suspended above and provided the structure with protection from the elements. This appeared to be standard GWR practice at the turn of the century as the same arrangement was employed at Snow Hill station.
