The Great Western Magazine of February 1911 states' on the down platform the existing buildings - also of red brick and natural stone dressings - have been extensively rearranged, added to and renovated with the down platform now extended to 550 feet in length'. All of the works at Stratford on Avon were carried out by Messrs Hunt and Son, Station Works, High Wycombe under the direction of the GWR's New Works Engineer Mr W Armstrong and supervised on site by Mr PE Culverhouse.
