GWR Route: Stratford on Avon to Hatton

Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Hall class No 4968 'Shotton Hall' is seen on the 13:55pm Paignton to Wolverhampton service on 16th August 1958. In the cattle dock, adjacent to the livestock market, an unidentified ex-GWR 2-6-0 Mogul can be seen which is probably going to assist the Hall on the 1 in 75 climb to Wilmecote. Built at Swindon works to Lot 254 in December 1929 No 4968 remained in service until July 1962 when it was withdrawn from St Philips Marsh shed in Bristol to be scrapped in November 1962 by J Cashmore of Newport.
