Aerial view of Stratford on Avon goods yard and shed with Flowers & Sons Brewery above and the Gas works and sidings below. The siding at the edge of the goods yard was known as No 1 Road, with No 2 Road alongside. Alongside the Shed road was No 3 Road and between there and the Beer Road was the New Siding. The coal stacking areas seen on the right above the gasometer were occupied by merchants (from right to left): Wilson, Carter & Pearson, Broad, Faulkner, Meadows, and Jackson. Jackson had a timber framed store clad in corrugated iron sheeting at the end of the siding which had purchased from a petrol company. Later to the right of the goods shed a new extension was to be built, authorised in June 1947 but not reported by the Civil Engineer as being complete until 1951.
