Ex-GWR 2-6-2T 'Large Prairie' No 8105 is seen passing the up refuge siding on the 5:05pm Moor Street service to Evesham service on Saturday 26th July 1952. The 81xx class of locomotives were Collett rebuilds of Churward's 51xx class and only numbered ten in total with half being allocated to the West Midlands. Originally built as No 5126 at Swindon works in June 1905 and withdrawn in October 1938, No 8105 emerged from Swindon works to Lot 320 in March 1939 and remained in service until June 1957 when it was withdrawn from 85A Worcester shed to be scrapped during July 1957 by Swindon works.
