GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Leamington Spa Station: gwrls875
Another view of the last horse drawn cart working at
Leamington station seen on 25th August 1949. Horses were once a common sight on
Britain's railways and not only for road haulage. Horses were used for shunting
goods wagons in both large and small goods yards and sidings as they were
extremely versatile and economical.
