Letter referring to various preparations associated with the new through passenger service from Cardiff to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft

Two internal letters sent on behalf of Mr J Morris (Superintendent of the Line at Paddington) to Mr SF Johnson (Divisional Superintendent based at Birmingham Snow Hill) regarding the proposed direct junction to the L&NWR line at Leamington South. Mr SF Johnson had now succeeded Mr E Murphy as the Divisional Superintendent based at Birmingham Snow Hill.

The first letter dated 12th June 1908 confirmed that Mr J Morris had written a letter to Mr R Turnbull (L&NWR) regarding the new junction coming into use on 10th July 1908. The second letter dated 29th June 1908 refers to various preparations associated with the new through passenger service being provided from Cardiff to Yarmouth and Lowestoft, including; tickets, parcels, luggage in advance, etc at Leamington needed to be collected by L&NWR staff, Carriage roof label boards had be supplied and were already fitted to the coaches, Extensive advertising was also in-hand jointly with the L&NWR and Great Eastern Railway companies.
