Aerial photograph of the area around the Great Western Railway's Leamington locomotive depot and carriage sidings in 1934. The LMS (ex-L&NWR) line from Leamington to Rugby runs from the top left of the photograph. This line had opened on 1st March 1851. The Great Western main line on the right was built as the Birmingham and Oxford Junction Railway and opened on 1st October 1852. The locomotive depot relocated here from the other side of Leamington station in September 1906 and the adjacent carriage sidings were constructed in December 1909.
