British Railways built 'Black Five' 4-6-0 No 44712 had become partly derailed at the former GWR station on 18th November 1962. Tyseley shed's Cowans Sheldon crane is now being used to lift some of the packing pieces back into the wagon. At the time of the incident, No 44712 was allocated to 2A Rugby shed. Built by Horwich works in October 1948, No 44712 was to remain in service until November 1966 when it was withdrawn from 6J Holyhead shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Great Bridge.
