GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Ex-GWR 0-6-0 No 2201 is shunting wagons on the coal stage roads at Leamington shed in December 1961. A member of the 2251 class, No 2201 was built at Swindon works and was in service from July 1939 to September 1964 when it was withdrawn from 81D Reading shed. At the time of this photo, No 2201 had been allocated to 84D Leamington shed since October and was to remain at Leamington for just a short time being transferred to 81E Didcot shed in February 1962.
