Close up of image 'gwrls239' showing motor taxis waiting on the upper level forecourt and canopy outside the main station buildings. The entrance to the station was at platform level allowing ease of access to the station. The 1853 Leamington Year Book quotes the construction of the building as being "strobgly built of brick and plaster, in the Anglo-Italian style. The arrangement is very good and affords every convenience and luxury. The Booking Office is in the centre, lighted by a cupola, is 45 feet by 30 feet, the First-class Waiting Room is 30 feet by 15 feet, with a large bay window, the whole being in excellence proportion'.
