GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Looking along Platform One towards Snow Hill from the Wolverhampton end of the station. The distinctive lift tower used for raising loads from the underpass can be seen on the right. The Round yard is on the left whilst on the extreme right is the main yard housing Top shed and Bottom shed. The platform lampposts were originally gas lit but have now been converted to electric by the simple process of changing the lantern with a swan neck shaped electric lamp.
