Birmingham Snow Hill Station: gwrbsh1874

The spacious Birmingham (Snow Hill) Parcels Yard was located under platform 11 with a road exit directly on to Snow Hill. Electric lifts served the platforms above. These were located near the end of the bay platforms. Throughout the station's life parcels traffic was important. Even in 1958 the number of parcels forwarded was recorded as 562,530 (value £188,687), with a further 355,207 received.
