Advertisement from Official Guide to the Great Western Railway dated 1912 for restaurant facilities

Advertisement from 'Official Guide to the Great Western Railway (12th ed.)' dated 1912. Although the Great Western Hotel was converted into offices prior to the station reconstruction, its restaurant facilities were retained and enhanced to provide meals and refreshments for passengers.

Menu Details were as follows:
Hot Luncheon consists of cut from Joint, Steak or Chop, with Vegetables, Bread, Cheese, Butter, and Salad. Orders for Hot Luncheon must be given to the Guard at least an hour before required. They are not supplied on Sundays.

Cold Luncheon consists of Chicken, with Ham or Tongue or Cold Meat, Bread, Cheese, Butter, and Salad, The charge for either Hot or Cold Luncheon is 2 Shillings, 6 pence each, exclusive of beverages.

Tea Baskets, each contains Pot of Tea or Coffee, Bread and Butter and Cake or Bun. The charge for a Tea Basket for one person is 1 Shilling; for each additional person 6 pence.
