Ex-GWR 4-6-0 King class No 6002 'King William IV' is seen arriving at Platform 7 whilst at the head of the 7 20am Pwllheli to Paddington service on 12th August 1961. Built at Swindon works to Lot 243 in July 1927 No 6002 was to remain in service until September 1962 when it was withdrawn from Stafford Road shed in Wolverhampton to be scrapped in February 1963 by Cox & Danks of Langley Green near Oldbury.
