Ex-GWR 0-6-0PT 74xx class No 7424, one of the former GWR's many Pannier Tank locomotives, is seen passing through Platform 5 whilst at the head of a down Class K freight train. Built at Swindon works to Lot 307 in May 1937 No 7424 remained in service until September 1964 when it was withdrawn from Stourbridge Junction shed to be scrapped during November 1964 by Arnott & Young of Avonmour Ironworks in Bilston.
