GWR Route: Hatton to Bearley and Alcester Branch

On two successive Saturdays in October the annual ‘Mop Fair' was held in Stratford upon Avon. Here a Collett 48xx class 0-4-2T No 4814 with a Stratford Mop Special mixed train can be seen waiting at Bearley prior to heading for Alcester, c1938. On these rare occasions corridor stock was used on the branch. Here the nearest coach is a 56’ centre corridor clerestory brake third carriage with three third class compartments.
