Acocks Green & South Yardley Station: gwrag18

An Edwardian view of Acocks Green station looking in the direction of Leamington as a down train approaches. The station was originally name Acocks Green when it opened in 1852 but was renamed 'Acocks Green and South Yardley' in 1878. In 1907 a new signal box was opened beyond the down platform which confirms that this photograph was taken just after the turn of the century.
