In the centre is the door to the general waiting room, with the booking office on the left and the ladies waiting room on the right. Like Bearley the only access to the station buildings was from the platform. The canopy is edged by deeply cut tongue and groove fretwork, which is typical of William Clarke’s designs. Both the general and Ladies waiting rooms had individual fireplaces and chimney stacks.
