Foleshill Railway: miscfr016

Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST 'Nellie' (Works No 2053 built in 1938) is seen standing within the confines of Courtaulds factory on 6th March 1955. Based on the Foleshill Railway 'Nellie' worked for the former Ordnance factory to the Ordnance sidings on the Nuneaton to Coventry branch. The Coventry nameplate is believed to have been added when under the ownership of Courtaulds and was scrapped in 1962.
