The Austin Motor Company: misc_indust225

Austin Motors had a large fleet of open wagons for internal use. This is 12 ton steel open No 102 with side and end doors as manufactured for Austin Motors by Charles Roberts & Co in 1928. The wheelbase was nine feet and overall length over the headstocks was sixteen feet, six inches. It had either side Morton lever brakegear and oil axle boxes. The livery was dark grey with white lettering. Apparently the wagons was registered with the LMS, so were not confined to internal use.
