Ex-LMS 5XP Jubilee Class' 4-6-0 No 45674 'Duncan' stands in New Street station's Fish Sidings in February 1964. Despite bearing a 5A Crewe North shed plate, No 45674 was allocated to Saltley shed from March 1963 until October 1964 when it was transferred (at least on paper) to 5A Crewe shed to be officially withdrawn. Officially the records show that Duncan was built by Crewe works in December 1935, No 45674 was to remain in service until October 1964 when it was withdrawn from 5A Crewe North shed to be scrapped.
