LNER Route: Leicester to Marylebone

A Caprotti fitted British Railways Standard Class 5 4-6-0 No 73137 is seen on a down working at Rugby Central. Built by Derby works in November 1956, No 73137 was to have a very short working life being withdrawn during June 1967 from 9H Patricroft shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Great Bridge. The line to the left of the locomotive was the loop siding used by goods trains as a refuge in order to clear paths for their faster passenger brethren.
